The Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts stands as a cornerstone in the history of Jordanian and Arab culture, serving as one of the key platforms through which the Jordanian state expresses its cultural and humanitarian message. It is a significant contributor to fostering joy and unity. The festival has played an integral role in showcasing the culture, values, symbols, and creative talents of Jordan and the broader Arab world through diverse artistic and cultural formats.
In 2024, the festival was launched under the theme “The Promise Continues,” reflecting Jordan’s enduring national and humanitarian commitment to the world. This year’s event also commemorated the silver jubilee of His Majesty King Abdullah II’s ascension to the throne. Moreover, it stood in solidarity with our brothers in Palestine and Gaza, blending these two significant occasions into a grand artistic, literary, cultural, and intellectual celebration that underscored the deep connection between Jordanians and their Palestinian brethren during these challenging times.
The promise will continue, Jordan will remain loyal to the issues of the Arab and Islamic nation. Jerash theaters will remain a beacon for all. The festival will remain an umbrella for culture, hope and love.
