The Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts is considered a milestone in the history of Jordanian and Arab national culture, and one of the most important tools of the Jordanian state in formulating its cultural and humanitarian discourse, and an important source in the industry of joy and love. The festival has played a major role in introducing society, its culture, values and symbols, and displaying talents, creativity and cultural industries. In multiple shapes and formats.
The flame of the Jerash Festival of Culture and Arts for this year 2024 was lit under the slogan “The Promise Continues” due to the Jordanian national and humanitarian message that this slogan carried to the world. It was a celebration of the silver jubilee of His Majesty King Abdullah II, may God protect him, on the throne and assuming his constitutional powers. It was also solidarity with our brothers in Palestine and the Gaza Strip, so that the festival holds these two occasions side by side in a wonderful artistic, literary, cultural and intellectual demonstration that confirmed the closeness of Jordanians’ feelings to their brothers in Palestine, and their solidarity with them in light of the difficult conditions in which they live.

The festival’s activities in this session were characterized by sobriety, commitment, and glorifying the Jordanian cultural heritage, highlighting the magnitude of the achievements achieved by Jordan under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II Bin Al Hussein, and presenting artistic and cultural performances that narrate the Jordanian national narrative and the detailed developments achieved in various sectors.
The festival was also able to convey the Palestinian voice and its ability to emerge from the ashes of war and destruction and convey its voice to the world through artistic and cultural paintings that reflected the Palestinian artistic heritage, and put it in front of the lenses of the local, Arab and international media, to express the extent of the suffering and injustice to which the Palestinian people are exposed under the brutal Zionist occupation.
The promise will continue,
Jordan will remain loyal to the issues of the Arab and Islamic nation.
Jerash theaters will remain a beacon for all talents.
The festival will remain an umbrella for culture, hope and love.
